​Cancellation of an Insurance Policy:

By law, no insurance policy or contract issued by an insurance carrier shall be cancelled prior the date specified in such contract or policy for its expiration until at least 30-days after a cancellation notice has been sent to both the Commissioner and to the employer has elapsed. A carrier cannot blatantly cancel an employer's insurance policy or contract until the Commissioner and the employer are properly notified and the 30-day period since issuance of such notice is fully expired.

For notification to the Commission, carriers may either provide their own notice or use FORM NO-03: Notice of Insurance Policy Cancellation to assist with this task if prefer.
